We were engaged by St. Joseph’s Hospital to develop a schematic plan to renovate their ‘Just for Kids’ pediatric clinic, including a new entrance and reception area, waiting areas and the clinic itself. Our approach was to consolidate the Hospital’s mission statement on general health and well being with their desire to bring community life into the hospital environment. Using interactive iconography from the surrounding community, modern materials and furnishings and improved interrelational planning, our design sought to transform the existing spaces into an exciting and welcoming environment more suitable for children and more conducive to a better, healthier working environment.
