The renovation of 25 Kodiak Crescent provided a new headquarters for leading edge lighting designer and manufacturer Beta Calco. DCAI was tasked with balancing the requirements of the building owner with the needs and desires of the long term tenant. The project required exterior and interior alterations to an existing 78,000 square foot industrial warehouse building.
The entrance and lobby were revitalized with a new curtain wall and a steel and glass stair. The open offices located on the first and second floor allow for flexibility and staff interaction. New meeting rooms, washrooms, support spaces and an assembly area were also incorporated into the design. The warehouse space provides categorical material storage and loading bays. New paving and upgrades to the landscape improve the building’s exterior street presence and corporate identity.
