This phased project incorporated 7 separate but linked renovation components. The project achieves New College’s (University of Toronto) long term strategic goals, improves student life, strengthens community, academic life, and supports business operations. The project involves the creation of a student centre; a student council office; 7 new classrooms with fully integrated IT and communication technology; new computer labs and seminar space within the library; new offices and meeting room for the International Foundation Programme, and refurbishment of two student lounges and the registrar’s office. The new spaces were designed to the University’s accessibility guidelines and AODA standards.
