David Carter Architects provides architectural services for data and power upgrades and additions to data centres for a variety of high profile clients such as IBM Canada, Rogers, Bell, Sun Life Financial, TD Canada Trust and Telus Mobility within Ontario and in other provinces across Canada. These projects require intensive collaboration with other professional disciplines to provide consistent and predictable outcomes in a highly secure and intensively conditioned environment.
These projects require precise alterations to existing facilities that allow the client to reliably update and reconfigure IT and data solutions within existing buildings. Data and IT projects often require upgrades to emergency power systems and these upgrades typically involve provision for on-site power generation through diesel generators, significant diesel storage requirements, site and building security upgrades, site plan approval applications and Ministry of Environment approvals. Environmental remediation projects also require careful attention to specification requirements for the appropriate assignment of risk; compliance with authorities having jurisdiction; and the health and safety requirements of the client, users and workers.
We provide full architectural services as well as the coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, Acoustic, Environmental and Structural disciplines. We also provide a full range of interior design services for the front-of-house program including reception areas, office spaces, meeting rooms, kitchen and washrooms.
