As a major importer and distributor of fresh produce, Fresh Taste Produce asked us to produce a schematic design for a new refrigeration building addition to their existing Etobicoke facility. The new addition, which introduces 50% additional storage space, was designed to maximize efficiency both in terms of use of space as well as energy.
High-efficiency insulated metal panels were proposed to reduce thermal transfer through the envelope and maintain required refrigeration levels, and were also used in an interesting way to help develop the public face of the company to the surrounding community and throughout municipal approvals processes.
