Blyth Academy had outgrown their existing Ottawa school and engaged David Carter Architects to design a new campus at the highly prominent and recently developed The Shops at Lansdowne Park, on Bank Street in Ottawa. The project involved converting an existing 9,700 square foot retail tenant suite into a new private high school for 180 students. The school includes 15 bright contemporary classrooms, a state-of-the-art science lab, two student commons with kitchen facilities, an elevator lift, staff areas and offices, storage and utility spaces, accessible washrooms and various student meeting and study spaces.
