David has more than 25 years of practical and professional experience in design, project management, and construction. He provides strong leadership on complex and challenging new building projects, additions and renovations, for institutional, governmental, and commercial clients. David is a LEED Accredited Professional Architect and is committed to the design of sustainable and creative building solutions to address the individual needs of each client and the specific requirements of each project.
David is a member of Ontario Association of Architects, Toronto Society of Architects, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Canadian Green Building Council, and was Adjunct Professor with the University of Toronto School of Architecture, Landscape and Design.

Alan, is a Professional Architect and Associate with Carter AI. Alan holds a Professional Master of Architecture from Carleton University. Alan studied architecture in Bern, Switzerland and worked in San Diego, California before joining Carter AI in 2009 and became an Associate in 2013. Alan draws on his 10 years’ experience across a variety of building typologies to develop Carter AI standards, procedures, and practices. Using his strong project management skills, Alan provides leadership on technically demanding projects and has continuous involvement through all phases. Alan’s design interests value the use of lightness, elegance, and simplicity.

Leo joined Carter AI in 2014. He is experienced with a broad range of project types and his highly developed technical skills contribute to the successful delivery of new construction, additions and alteration projects of various scales. Leo’s design interests focus on the inclusion of socially responsible work in addition to economically feasible and sustainable design solutions. Leo is committed to the careful evaluation of each design problem and delivers practical and innovative solutions to his clients. Leo’s graduate thesis research on the impact and integration of industrial and commercial factory space into sustainable neighborhoods is reflected in his industrial and mission critical projects.
Leo’s clients include Rogers, IBM, TD Bank Group, Hydro One, G Adventures, EllisDon, LCBO, Fanshawe College, University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and TELUS Mobility.

Barry has been working as an architectural designer for 38 years with experience developed while working in Japan, Europe and Canada. In 2001 he started Team Project, a multi-disciplinary design practice that has completed many successful commercial, institutional and residential projects. Working closely with the Toronto arts community, Barry has also been involved in many art installations and productions both individually and collaboratively.
Barry’s clients include Scarborough Health Network, Haliburton Highlands Health Services, Ross Memorial Hospital, and Infrastructure Ontario.
